This month, we get to know Eric Kuyatt, a Systems Specialist at Platte River Networks. Eric has been with us for 1 year and 4 months. He works as an escalation point where he gets to work with others and take tickets that need a little more time and TLC. He really enjoys the constant challenge of the job, and the feeling of knowing an entire experienced team has his back. Working to crush some of the longer, more painful tickets for customers has been extremely rewarding for Eric as well.
Prior to joining the PRN team, Eric worked in a variety of positions. From slinging pizzas for Papa Murphy’s and a day manager at Holiday Inn to a freelance 3D artist and various IT jobs. He graduated the University of Colorado Denver with a BFA in 3D animation and even worked on 3D illustrations for a Hollywood movie!
In his free time, Eric enjoys guitar, piano, photography, writing, playing video games, golfing, Formula 1 racing, camping/hiking, and more! He is probably happiest in the tranquil calm of the forest where he can get away from society and decompress. If he could be anybody, he would like to be an author or photographer because both can be a means to inspire or provide substance for the soul and spirit. As a kid, he wanted to be a video game designer and that has still stuck with him so he hopes to one day publish games of his own.
Eric’s favorite book is Hard-Boiled Wonderland and the End of the World by Haruki Murakami and his favorite movie is The Lord of the Rings: The Two Towers. His favorite superhero is Superman, because of not only his mix of powers but his quick-witted responses.
Eric’s favorite motto is, “Success is not final, failure is not fatal: it is the courage to continue that counts,” by Winston Churchill.
We are happy to have Eric on our team here at PRN!
