This month we’re excited to get to know our very own Service Manager in Support, Dani Thompson! Before coming to work for Applied Tech, Dani was in IT for over 15 years as a System Technician and Specialist. She has a Bachelor’s Degree in Network Administration, and an Associate’s in Computer Information Systems. Dani has been with us for five years, supporting the oversight and leadership of the assigned service team and servicing support requests and escalations with foresight, confidence, empathy, and charm.
It may come as no surprise that she loves helping people, and her current position allows her to do just that daily. Therefore, her most rewarding experience here has been creating new teams! Dani could see that the teams needed to be broken down even smaller within the new Escalation department. Hence, why she hired four team leads and now has the processes in place to move tickets from the teams to the escalation team for a better overall resolution time benefiting Applied Tech and our customers.
Dani is from Upstate New York, right on Lake Ontario. Her favorite movie is Dirty Dancing (who doesn’t know Patrick Swayze’s iconic line “Nobody puts Baby in a corner“). She loves bowling and go-karting in her free time. She is the youngest of 6, and her baby is a 12-year-old American Bully name The Dude. Dani is the happiest when her team is working in the same direction; if they’re happy, she’s happy! Her favorite superhero is Harley Quinn, and her motto in life is to only focus on the things you can control.
