President of Applied Tech, Daniel Petersen, discusses the recent merger with Platte River Networks

Platte River Networks Named “One Of the Best Places To Work” For The 7th Time By The Denver Business Journal

Denver, CO – April 8, 2022 –  The Denver Business Journal has honored Platte River Networks as one of the Best Places to Work in Denver. This is the seventh time Platte River Networks has been recognized for this award including six times in the last seven years. This award comes shortly after the announcement of Platte River Networks as a Largest Tech Employer in Colorado and several other distinguished industry awards.

“We are so proud of our wonderful team at Platte River. We wouldn’t be able to provide such a high level of service to our customers if it weren’t for the great group of employees we have,” says Daniel Petersen, President. “We value each one of them and what they bring to the team.”

Platte River Networks encourages a work-life balance, and that means having fun once in a while. They have group personal training, an onsite gym, team outings (when socially acceptable) such as Top Golf, Unser Racing, and more. They also take care of their employees by offering a matching 401k, four weeks paid flexible time off, personalized development-promotion plans, and a 100-percent employer-paid health plan. Since 2002, founders Brent Allshouse and Treve Suazo’s mission has been to create a business that not only provides a great place to work for their employees but also proves to be a leader in the technology industry. “This award is such a big honor for us because we have always strived to be a place where people are excited to come to work and want to grow with the company. We feel that this award recognizes our efforts and our wonderful team,” says Brent Allshouse, Co-Founder and Board Member.

Platte River has a heavy focus on community outreach so they offer a matching personalized charitable gift program where employees can pick and support charities of their choice. Furthermore, they started and run a Women-in-Technology (WIT) scholarship in partnership with the Colorado Women’s Chamber and the Denver Scholarship Foundation. Platte River also donated $10,000 this year to the Marshall Fire Fund helping local residents who lost their homes or suffered fire damage in the horrible fire in Louisville, Colorado last December.
